3. What do you think about the organization of the Champions League that the very strong clubs can clash already early?
Ralf Kellermann : „I don´t believe in it at all. The first round is drawn by seeding list, afterwards it is open. Also top teams from the same country as Lyon and Paris can clash already early. To make the competition more attractive I would recommend setting the best teams at least to the quarter finals. This would raise the opportunity for the real top teams to get further, because especially these are the teams in Europe that invest a lot.
Not only in the financial aspect but also the whole infrastructure and they just need more laps in the Champions League. I am also an advocate of the cause that nations like Sweden, France and Germany should get a third Team in the competition immediately, because the quality is much higher compared to other nations. 4. What is your vision of the women´s football in near future? What are possibilities and what are risks?
Ralf Kellermann : „Women´s football is unstoppable. The development goes step by step forward and the attention is rising higher. More and more girls are already playing football in their younger days.
Thereby the education gets better and the quality of the players who come from the youth teams is much higher. So I don´t see any risks, I would rather say that if you widen a healthy process and support them, the women´s football would develop further, also in the interests in the media as well as from the amount of spectators.”

5. On the Website you often say that it is good that your players get faster aware of a situation and are able to react on it. This is an important reason for the success of VfL Wolfsburg, right?
Ralf Kellermann : „I think that this is an attribute players on high level should have.
There are a lot of very good players but to bring this attribute with you to realize situations faster and do the right thing in the key moments is a special quality. We partially try to train this but it is difficult because it is a personal and quality cause.”

6. Experience and playing together over a long time, are these the key factors for a successful team?
Ralf Kellermann : „Absolutely. There is always the possibility to be successful in a team that was shortly arranged with top players. But we are meanwhile the third and fourth year in a row on a very high standard and this is a process the whole squad made. I am an advocate of continuity and it is very important that the balance in the squad fits.
Our squad is composed that we can develop over years. It is always important that we change the nuances every year. A squad has to grow to fit the hierarchy and to share a common aim.”

7. What do you expect from the new players Bussaglia and Dickenmann?
Ralf Kellermann : „I am very happy that we have convinced the both of the VfL Wolfsburg. A lot of conversations took place. Both are identifying themselves with the aims and the way we work here in Wolfsburg.
.This is great. Both of them also want to play in Germany in one of the best leagues worldwide before they end their career. They are turning 30 this year and have gained a lot of national but especially international experience. They will, as I get to know them, support the team and bring us forward. I believe in the way they play. Bussaglia will hopefully keep the balance in the midfield and regulate the game with her experience. Lara Dickenmann is multifunctional useful for the team. She can play in the offensive on all positions like on the six and in the defense on the outside position. I am very glad she found the way to Wolfsburg and we will let her play offensive. For me she is one of the best players worldwide.
